"Who operates this website?"

The Tangerine Learning Center, located at 3389 Steeles Ave E, Toronto, ON M2H 0A1. Ontario Business Registration No. BN-2013-084729. We are a financial education provider operating as the Tangerine Learning Center.

"What am I agreeing to?"

By using this website or enrolling in our programs, you agree to these terms. They govern your use of our site, our workshops, our online courses, and our coaching services.

If you do not agree, do not use the site or enroll in any program. Straightforward.

"Can I cancel a workshop or program?"

Yes. The refund schedule is simple:

  • 14+ days before the scheduled date: Full refund.
  • 7–13 days before: 50% refund.
  • 6 days or fewer: No refund.

Rescheduling is available at no charge with 7 or more days notice. Contact us at contact@tangerine-learningcenter.com or call (888) 826-4374 to make changes.

"Is the content financial advice?"

No. Tangerine provides financial education, not financial advice. We teach concepts, frameworks, and savings skills. We do not recommend specific products, accounts, or institutions. We will explain how a TFSA works. We will not tell you where to open one.

For personalized financial advice, consult a licensed financial advisor.

"Who owns the course materials?"

All curriculum, worksheets, videos, facilitator guides, and materials are the intellectual property of the Tangerine Learning Center. This includes content delivered in workshops, online courses, and train-the-trainer programs.

Corporate clients receive a license to use materials within their organization for the duration specified in their service agreement. Redistribution, resale, or sharing outside the licensed organization without written consent is prohibited.

Individual learners may keep personal copies of worksheets and action plan templates for their own use. Posting them online or distributing them is not permitted.

"What about my privacy?"

Short version: we collect minimal data. We never sell it. We store it on servers located in Canada. You can request deletion at any time.

"What happens if I misuse the site or services?"

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate access to anyone who:

  • Disrupts a workshop or coaching session.
  • Redistributes proprietary course materials without permission.
  • Uses the site for any unlawful purpose.
  • Submits false information through our forms or enrollment process.

We will attempt to resolve issues through direct communication first. Termination is a last resort.

"Are there limits on your liability?"

Tangerine provides educational content designed to build savings knowledge and habits. We are not liable for individual financial outcomes resulting from the application of concepts taught in our programs.

Our total liability for any claim arising from the use of our services is limited to the fees you paid for the specific program in question. We do not accept liability for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages.

"What about third-party links?"

Our site and course materials may contain links to external resources — bank websites, government pages, financial tools. We do not control those sites. We are not responsible for their content, privacy practices, or accuracy.

A link is a reference. Not an endorsement.

"Can these terms change?"

Yes. We will post updates on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

For material changes — anything affecting your rights or obligations — we will make reasonable efforts to notify active program participants via email.

"Which laws govern these terms?"

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario, located in Toronto.
